Originally from nearby Piedmont, Nebbiolo has also adapted well to the Aosta Valley, where it is known locally as Picotendro. Harvested in October, it undergoes fermentation in stainless steel and is then aged partly in large oak barrels and partly in used French oak barriques.
Characterized by good sapidity and subtle spice, it offers aromas of violet and wild berries on the nose.
